You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad." - Morpheus, The Matrix In the heart of Kentucky, behind twenty-ton blast doors and layers of security that seem more myth than reality, America claims to hold 147 million ounces of gold. But are they there? Fort Knox - the very symbol of truth in a world of lies— hasn’t been audited since 1974. Read that again. For half a century, we've been asked to simply believe. This week, February 19, 2025, Trump shocked us aboard Air Force One: “We’re going to Fort Knox to make sure the gold’s there.” A $425 billion question—gold or ghosts? The world holds its breath. Deep down we fear that Fort Knox, like so much in our society- may be just another scam. Trump: "We’re going to Fort Knox to make sure the gold’s there.” Lost in ShadowSomething is wrong— we all know it. The world seems fragmented, cut from her mooring- adrift. We’re racing about, not a minute to spare, but to where? No one has time, time’s money, and our money’s a mirage. We're living in the hollowed-out husk of a once great civilization. Under flickering fluorescent lights in stale beige cubicles, millions trade their limited lifespan for money that vanishes like smoke. Modern society is a sham town. A cheap fake. Fort Knox? Fifty years of ‘trust me bro.’ Fake news clogs your feed, fake leaders peddle hope then ghost like a bad date, fake heroes fade faster. Fake money, fake emails, fake brand name knockoffs. Our buildings - uninspired glass boxes thrown up for a quick buck. Appliances- once generational- fall apart in a few years. Entertainment? Remakes of remakes. Transformers 7? Is that all we’ve got? Even our food is fake, sold in ever shrinking packages filled with ingredients we can't pronounce like partially hydrogenated soybean oil. What happened to grandma’s butter? We’re lost in shadow, so deep in the dark we've forgotten light. But how did we get here? Curious how we fell? Subscribe at financialpeformer.com! When Money Sang TrueIt was not always this way. Down through history entire civilizations rose and fell on a single truth: their money. The Belle Epoque (known in America as the Gilded Age) and the Renaissance were truly golden eras. Culture soared, science exploded, peace was abundant. Both eras had one thing in common. The money. It was true. It was solid gold. In the renaissance it was the gold florin— in the gilded age, the gold standard. Money was real. It was a true measure that gave rise to true value. A much simpler time. Work hard, save, rest easy knowing your savings wouldn’t disintegrate in your sleep. This foundation of truth freed people to dream big and think beyond tomorrow. Rome too, which ruled the world for a thousand years built their empire on true money, the silver denarius and the gold solidus- until Nero ruined everything. Coin clipping, the process of shaving down coins to make ‘free’ money from the shavings began Rome’s slow, inevitable decline. The denarius became its own cheap knockoff, mostly bronze with a thin veneer of silver that rubbed off with wear. Sound familiar? By 476 Rome burned, gutted by its own fakery. But in the East a 1000 year encore ensued. As Rome collapsed under the weight of its own fraud and corruption a new Rome soared in the east. Constantinople’s return to the gold solidus kept truth alive. Commerce thrived, artistry soared and the Hagia Sophia rose- 180feet high, a dome so vast it humbled even Florence, the world’s grandest cathedral for a millennium, still standing as Rome’s ashes blew cold. Fiat is our Nero, burning down civilization just like Rome. Like Rome we’ve abandoned truth for convenience living in the shadow of greater ages, surrounded by echoes of past glory. But the lies are starting to unravel. Some can sense it already. That frequency in the code of existence. The feeling that something fundamental is shifting. The matrix is flickering. Their spells are weakening. The illusion that has enslaved us for generations is beginning to crack. Whether Fort Knox stands empty or full, Bitcoin has already revealed a greater truth - we don't need their vaults anymore. As the old system trembles, questioning its own foundations, a new certainty spreads node by node, block by block, awakening humanity from its dream of necessary slavery. The Bottom Line
